Born in prayer by Japanese healer Ryokyu Endo, the flame unites 16 historic peace fires, from Hiroshima to Jerusalem, and carries over 400,000 prayers for peace. Blessed by spiritual leaders including Pope Leo and the Dalai Lama, it now burns eternally in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha.
