We Got the Keys! FoodSource UK’s First Hub Is Coming to Wales
Last week we collected the keys to our first FoodSource UK Hub in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales — an exciting step towards creating a community resource that helps reduce food waste while supporting local people experiencing food poverty.
During our visit, we met with representatives from the local Welsh Government and learned more about the incredible work already being carried out by food banks, pantries, and community organisations across the area. These conversations are helping shape a Hub that complements and strengthens existing support for local families.
We are now busy preparing the space, developing partnerships, and planning for an official opening in September.
This is just the beginning, and we’re proud that Wales will be home to the first FoodSource UK Hub — a model we hope can grow and support communities across the UK.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey so far. More updates coming soon!
