ITV News Interview with David Solomons, President of The Memnosyne UK Chapter and Mary Ann Thompson-Frenk, Co-Founder/ President of The Memnosyne Institute: Opening of Food Hub for Wales in Merthyr Tydfil aimed at extending the FoodSourceUSA program into the UK via The Memnosyne UK Chapter’s new FoodSourceUK program offering a food hub to serve the active nonprofits – both homeless shelters and food pantries who are lacking a food hub to serve the area.
Many thanks to Sky Andrew, founder of Planet Ping, for bringing the wonderful community of Merthyr Tydfil to The Memnosyne Institute’s attention as the ideal location to test out the first such food hub in the UK!
HUGE gratitude as well to Dana Amma Day, for her continued leadership and to the entire volunteering community in the UK, along with The Memnosyne UK Chapter’s board and advisors, including Lord Andrew Stone, Baroness Sandip Verma, Andrew Thornton, Kidd Waya, Ne Lwin, and so many, many more!
Gratitude too to our late Advisory Board Member for The Memnosyne Institute, Lawrence Bloom, who first asked us to bring the FoodSource program begun by Rev. Dr. Todd Collier to the UK where 7.5 million people are experiencing food insecurity with 11% of the population. In Wales. We hope this is just the beginning!
Many thanks to ITV News for covering The Memnosyne UK Chapter’s FoodSourceUK program!
